Hi September! Can’t believe you’re already here, and summer is about to end…I’m getting ready to get back to teaching, looking forward to see my students again, and discover new talent. For now I’m enjoying my last few days off, so happy to have the sun out.I took a walk in the park and chilled there for a bit with my boyfriend, and was happy to find my camera in my backpack, so I ended up taking a few outfit pictures. Today’s outfit is simple, wearing my favorite Topshop culottes, my army green Puma Creepers and an army t-shirt.
Hi everyone, hope you are all well :-). In today’s look I’m wearing a striped turtleneck and a fuzzy long jacket that I found on sale. This combination gives it a bit of a 70s vibe, which I love! I’m totally into turtleneck tops this fall. I’ve paired it with my blue culottes, my favorite item from this summer. It’s a great item that doesn’t need to go to storage, I just wear it with platform boots to instantly upgrade it to fall favorite.
So happy to finally have the chance to wear these culottes! The weather was nice enough for some bare skin. Though I’m not the type of girl to immediately wear all my summer clothes at the sight of the first few rays of sun. I slowly have to get in to the vibe of things. And my confidence isn’t ready yet either, I’ve gained some weight due to my meds, which makes this whole bare legs kind of weather nice but at the same time a little bit stressful. Need to get into gear, asap.
Wanna see how I combined these highwaisted culottes?
Culottes or gaucho pants: officially the must-have item for spring and summer! The wide-leg cropped pants are here and they’re not going anywhere. Now it can look a little hard to style these pants, but it doesn’t have to be. Just try to balance the proportions, like styling highwaisted pants with a crop top or tucking in your shirt, so your waistline isn’t lost.

The new length for this summer? Yes please!
Anything better than those really short booty shorts, works for me ;-)
This is a tricky one though, since they end mid-calf and traditionally cut wide, culottes typically look best with heels (as they help to elongate the leg). You want to make sure it doesn’t make you any smaller than you are (and if you’re short and curvy like me, you really have to watch out with this trend) I think it’s best to balance out the look with a structured coat or blazer and fitted top.
